Bruce Howard

It's Howard rocking on the Radio!!

Bruce’s early experience of radio was listening to the radio pirates in the 1960’s. His favourite jocks included Johnny Walker, Kenny Everett and John Peel, the latter of which greatly influenced his taste in rock music. By age 17yrs he was spinning the records in his local community club disco and went onto work for a chain of pub discos where he met whispering Bob Harris and former Radio-Lux jock the late Dave Christian.

In 1971 it was time to spread his wings, setting off on a new venture in Denmark, working for an entertainment agency, working across the clubs for two years. He eventually returning to UK shores and was approached by a fellow DJ from BBC Bristol to get involved on the local radio scene and the rest is history with a long and varied career in radio.

In 2003 Bruce upped sticks to Spain, where he presented for Costa Blanca FM, TKO Gold, plus more, presenting daily breakfast, drivetime and Sunday morning shows, and working with other BBC jocks such as Chris Ashley and Alex Trelinsky.  Other highlights have included presenting on Radio Seagull in the Netherlands, but coming up to date, the icing on the cake now, is being able to present right from the start on the fabulous new venture, DELUX RADIO, …bringing quality free radio back to his listeners!
